Technology at GAP CCC

Ever since the first personal computers were added to our administrative office, GAP has embraced technology in order to operate as efficiently as possible, complement our students’ learning experience, and provide valuable online access and language software to parents.

Computer Lab

GAP’s computer lab, which contains 8 Dell desktop computers, is used by our preschool classes to access challenging and age-appropriate educational software programs, games, and learning tools and educational websites.

Because of our commitment to community development, GAP’s computer lab is available at no charge to staff and parents. Each computer is equipped with the most up-to-date software and is available to use for email, social networking, taking online courses, conducting research, and using Rosetta Stone’s language software to improve English skills.

Security System

GAP installed a state-of-the-art security system to provide the highest level of security for our children, teachers, and staff. The system includes motion-detecting cameras, digital video recorders, and six flat-panel monitors in the administrative office that allow us to observe the center in real-time. It provides parents, teachers, and staff with peace of mind and ensures that all of the children are receiving the quality care and education that our parents expect.

Educational Software

Technology has transformed our multi-purpose room into a veritable children’s theater. We can project educational computer software and movies onto a wall to create a unique learning experience that both children and their parents enjoy.

Wi-Fi

Most rooms in the center are wired for internet access, and our broadband connection relies on tight security controls to ensure our network remains private and accessible only by parents, teachers, and staff at the center.
