"Jennifer" is a single mom with a school age child. She has a full-time job and does not receive any child support and does not have any family members to help her. She struggles with having to pay $2,000 a month for rent, a car payment, car insurance, gas to get back and forth to work, having her daughter in extra-curricular after school activities, utility bills, food, etc. We have helped "Jennifer" with nutritional food since she is not eligible for any of the food cupboards in the surrounding areas and we have also helped her with Christmas toys and presents for her daughter. She has told us how the stress is lifted when we help her, and she can go to work relieved and with a peace of mind.
"Tom" and his wife "Betsy" were both working at a warehouse through a temporary agency and became laid off at the same time. They had no money to get any food and when they came to us, "Tom" was in tears and told us how they have never been in this situation before and they are eternally grateful to know that they do not have to go to bed on an empty stomach.
"Candace" came to us and asked if we knew of anyone who could help with getting her school age child presents for Christmas. She has been taking care of her mother and grandmother who were both sick and in and out of the hospital. She was in a car accident which left her with severe back problems which made it very hard for her to go to work on many days. She had to pay for daycare because she was not eligible for the subsidy paid by the state to help her with the cost. Candace cried when she saw the Christmas gifts we provided for her and her son. She couldn't thank us enough and told us how she didn't know what she was going to do when it came to having a memorable Christmas for her son, which she said meant the world to her. We also provided her with food, and she informed us how happy and grateful she was and that this was such a huge weight lifted from her because she did not have anything to cook for the holidays.

"Mr. Henry" is a senior citizen and has no family or transportation to get to the local food cupboard. He calls us when he is low on food, and we deliver to him regularly. He always has a big smile on his face and is very happy when we see him. "Mr. Henry" always says "You have made my day! Thank you!"
